Is this product tested for heavy metals?

To ensure the quality of our seaweed, every batch has been tested for nutrient and heavy metals content. Due to cultivating only young seaweed, the heavy metal content is well below the set limits.

I have ordered the mind balance Atlantic kombu flakes but there is white stuff on it. Is this normal?

It is normal and called mannitol. Do not wash it, just gently wipe it otherwise you will lose the taste.

Does it require soaking in water before eating?

No, you can eat it straight from the package.

How much iodine is per serving?

Numami Atlantic Kombu contains around 180% of iodine recommended daily intake in one serving (1 teaspoon).
