Does the kelp add a fishy flavor to the salt?

For salads, sandwiches, eggs, avocado toast, finishing dishes, or anything served cold/raw: You will want a grinder or mill. The crystals are too large to sprinkle directly on food and won’t dissolve on contact. For marinades or drinks (like lemon water): You can dissolve the crystals in liquid — just give them a moment to melt. So the short answer is: You can technically use it without a grinder, but for everyday table use and finishing dishes, a grinder is strongly recommended.
